We’re Going Back 2015 – The 30th Anniversary Fan Celebration of Back to the Future
Held in the Los Angeles, California area from Wednesday, October 21 – Sunday, October 25th.
All Temporal Events below are included in the “Complete Experience” General Admission. On the day of each event, there will be limited VIP experiences available. These will be announced each day on the day of the event, and will be sold on a first come first serve basis. Example : in 2010 we drove a DeLorean down the train tracks from Part III, we will offer the ability to ride inside the DeLorean down the train tracks.

The Enchantment Under the Sea Dance is SOLD OUT. But, there’s one other way to get in on some of the excitement that night – the We’re Going Back 30th Anniversary of Back to the Future ORANGE CARPET event.
Weregoingback.com is setting up an orange carpet event outside of the Hollywood United Methodist Church where the dance will be held. Everyone attending, including the Back to the Future celebrities, will make their grand entrance on the orange carpet.
There will be a large projection screen with live-streaming video from inside the dance, which will bring you closer to the action! Throughout the dance, celebrities will periodically come outside to give fans the opportunity to get autographs and have celebrities pose with them on the orange carpet (for a fee). There will be Back to the Future vendors, music and food available.
NOTE: These tickets are ONLY for the orange carpet event and are NOT for the Enchantment Under the Sea dance.

The descriptions for our 2015 events are intentionally vague, just like they were back in 2010. This helps everyone enjoy the event as it unfolds, without knowing too much about their own futures and endangering their very existence!

- Enjoy a Screening of Back to the Future, Part II – with surprises!
- Exclusive World Premiere Screening of the documentary “Out Of Time: Saving the DeLorean Time Machine”
- See the Fully Restored, Screen-Used, Hero “A” DeLorean Time Machine from the Back to the Future trilogy!
- Lunch & Dinner will be provided.
Thursday, October 22, 2015 “Hill Valley Live! Hoverboarding Day: Redux / BTTF 3 Screening”
- A secret location 1 hour north of Burbank will be transformed into Hill Valley
- Exclusive World Premiere Screening of the documentary “Back in Time”
- Actually ride on a Hoverboard with the gang! The original gang members are back, along with the original hoverboarding stunt team – this time with a much bigger rig!
- There will presentations, hands-on demonstrations and many opportunities to get celebrity photos and autographs!
- Later in the day, enjoy an evening under the stars with an Old West style BBQ dinner and a Screening of Back to the Future, Part III – of course with more surprises!
Friday, October 23, 2015 “Filming Locations Tour: Redux / Doc Brown’s Cosplay Ball & Costume Contest”
- We’re taking you BACK to all of the best filming locations from the Back to the Future Trilogy – with a few more surprises!
- Grab a Whopper at the Burger King filming location, next to Docs Lab!
- Then in the evening, embrace the future (or the past) in your BEST Back to the Future costumes! There will be fantastic prizes – and even more surprises!
Saturday, October 24, 2015 “Enchantment Under The Sea Dance: Redux” featuring “The Flux Capacitors” 80’s Band!
- Once-in-a-lifetime Celebrity Auction of Back to the Future Screen Used props, memorabilia and collectables!
- We are BACK at the original filming location (United Methodist Church in Hollywood) for an even more epic recreation of the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance – you guessed it, with surprises!
- There will be many opportunities to get celebrity photos and autographs, and if they’re game – ask them to dance!
- Hors D’Oeuvres and Free Food Trucks!

- Think you’ve heard everything there is to know about the making Back to the Future? Think again! Original cast and crew will be your professors for the day!
- Original props will be on display along with never before seen production photos!
- After school, return to the scene of the Libyan attack for the final public screening of Back to the Future, Part 1 at Twin Pines Mall – with a couple more surprises!

BACK IN 2010 ….
For all the Back to the Future fans that were lucky enough to be a part of WereGoingBack.com’s 25th Anniversary Fan Celebrations of Back to the Future in Los Angeles, California … no descriptions are necessary. Each and every one of you embarked on a historic journey together through time, and followed in the footsteps of Marty McFly, re-living the week he spent back in 1955. We shared seven fun-filled days of epic BTTF themed events in historic downtown Hill Valley, while trying to avoid our future selves. They were temporal events that have yet to be outdone… until now.
For those of you that did not attend WereGoingBack.com in 2010, there are no shortage of great videos and photos from the events on YouTube (Click here to see a few).
“You built a time machine? Out of a DeLorean?!” WereGoingBack.com 2010 kicked off with a (day 1) screening of Back to the Future for thousands of immersed fans as they watched while standing in the actual filming location of Twin Pines Mall! Featuring celebrities, awards, and an incredibly accurate DeLorean Time Machine replica, that blew C02 on the crowd during a live reenactment, complete with Doc Brown and the Libyans, creating a window in time that brought us all right back to 1985!
“I’m afraid your just too darn loud.” The following day (day 2), at Universal Studios, “Profiles in History,” in conjunction with WereGoingBack.com, auctioned off the same DeLorean Time Machine and several other props from the Back to the Future Trilogy. Proceeds from the auction benefited The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (Team Fox). Meanwhile, back in Hill Valley, fans enjoyed the “Battle of the Bands” at the original filming location. A traveling museum of exclusive props and memorabilia from the Trilogy was on display along with rare collectables, celebrity autographs and photo opportunities.
“Hill Valley … A Nice Place to Live.” Fans climbed aboard one of several coach tour busses, and enjoyed (day 3) visiting many of the greatest filming locations from the Back to the Future Trilogy. From Marty’s house, to Doc’s Mansion, Lorraine’s street, the Hoverboard tunnel and the “START HERE” line where Marty began his final approach to the Clock Tower! At the final location stop of the day, fans had their minds blown when a DeLorean Time Machine, completely outfitted with very real and completely screen-accurate train wheels, came cruising down the train tracks, coming to rest amongst the crowd at the very same spot it was destroyed by the locomotive in Back to the Future part 3.
“Hey McFly … You Bojo! Those boards don’t work on water!” Fans were thrilled with a day (day 4) of Hoverboarding! Two original members of Griff’s gang, and the original stunt team from Back to the Future 2 were on hand to instruct and help fans “hook on!” for an adventure they’d never forget!
“Its been … educational.” A tour of the Peterson Automotive Museum (day 5) where one of only two existing GOLD plated DeLoreans are kept. Afterwards, fans were treated to an up-close and personal presentation by the original creators of the DeLorean Time Machine!
“Wow, they really cleaned this place up!” It was “Back to School” the following day (day 6) at the original filming location, where everybody got a tardy slip from the principal of Marty’s Hill Valley High School! Bob Gale (creator/writer/producer of the Back to the Future Trilogy) was on hand for a fan Q&A along with many other BTTF celebrities and one of MJF’s skateboarding stunt doubles from BTTF part 1!
“A rhythmic ceremonial ritual.” Our grand finale (day 7) and the event that everyone was waiting for – often imitated but never duplicated, the 2010 Enchantment Under the Sea dance! We re-dressed the original filming location, using many of the actual props from the movie. Fans dressed in 50’s attire, a great 80’s tribute band rocked the night away, tons of BTTF celebrities were in attendance and they were happy to pose with fans and sign autographs. And, a lovely couple got engaged as the real Marvin Barry sang “Earth Angel” to them … giving chills to the entire room.
Minds. Blown!
“That was epic! So, what’s going on in 2015?”
As many of you may or may not know, WereGoingBack.com was the brainchild of BTTF super fan, Ken Kapalowski and his time traveling friend, Joe Walser (Head of the DeLorean Time Machine Restoration Project). With the help of other massive BTTF fans, and the cooperation of the BTTF community, including cast and crew, they were able to organize this event for the fans… by the fans, with the proceeds raised donated to Team Fox.
Organizing an event of this magnitude is not an easy task, and there is a lot of pressure on us to not only take you BACK again, but to do it bigger and better than we did it before! It‘s 2015, after all – the future has arrived, and you’re about to embark on another historic journey through time!
